BDPI Grant Award
The City of Luverne has been awarded an $830,820 BDPI Grant from Minnesota DEED to support the Mayes Drive Extension and new water and sewer infrastructure in the Luverne Industrial Park.
The project will extend Mayes Drive approximately 1,550 feet and construct a 36-foot-wide, 8-inch-thick concrete roadway designed to support heavy industrial traffic. The project also includes approximately 800 feet of 10-inch sanitary sewer, 850 feet of 12-inch water main, storm sewer, and subdrain improvements. The City will provide approximately $935,820 in local matching funds toward the project.
This public infrastructure investment will help make way for Luv Modular’s new manufacturing facility, supporting approximately $39.6 million in private investment and up to 75 new jobs-while opening the door for additional industrial growth.
Marketing & Tourism
In partnership with the Luverne CVB, many photo assets have been updated this summer to include the World's Largest Nutcracker. The LEDA and Chamber/CVB will work on a plan to update the I-90 billboards in the coming months to reflect this major attraction.
