Title
PROPOSED RESOLUTION ADOPTING 5-YEAR AIRPORT CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM AND ENGINEERING SERVICES
Body
This proposed resolution approves the Five-Year Airport Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for the Luverne Municipal Airport. This approval is a required step to qualify for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and state grant funding. The resolution certifies that the city will provide the necessary local matching funds if grants are awarded. Because state funding was not available for the hangar project, the CIP was adjusted to use full FAA funding. It also authorizes the Mayor and City Administrator to submit grant applications and execute related documents. Additionally, it approves a Professional Services Agreement with DGR Engineering for design and bidding services for the 2026 hangar for $75,300. Engineering costs are eligible for 97.5 percent federal and state grants with a 2.5 percent local share equal to $1,882.50.
