PROPOSED RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION APPROVING MASTER PARTNERSHIP CONTRACT WITH MNDOT

body

MnDOT is requesting the City of Luverne enter a Master Partnership Contract which allows MnDOT and the City to exchange goods and services.  MnDOT was previously planning to reimburse the City for the landscaping at the intersection of Highway 75 and Main Street, due to construction impacting the planters, through their “cost to cure” process, which would allow the City to replace the landscaping when or if they desire.  Due to the City not owning all the property and only having an easement on some of the properties where the landscaping is located, MnDOT can not use this process to reimburse the City.  After further discussion with MnDOT, it was decided to include the replacement of the landscaping as part of MnDOT’s project.  MnDOT will pay for the design and plan preparation for the landscaping, which is to be done by Confluence with some assistance from DGR.  Reimbursement for these services will be paid through the City by MnDOT, which is why a master partnership contract is needed to be in place.  A work order contract will better define the scope of work and supplement the Master Partnership Contract after it has been approved by the City and MnDOT.
