The City Hall Parking Lot Improvements project consisted of removing the existing asphalt paving, salvaging, regrading, and compacting the existing granular base, and replacing the pavement with 6” concrete. Initially we looked at trying to salvage as much of the existing curb and gutter as possible, but after further review, most of the curb and gutter was either in poor condition, or did not adequately drain. Due to the curb and gutter being replaced, the sidewalk adjacent to the curb and gutter was also replaced for constructability reasons. Hulstein Excavating has completed the final punch list items for the City Hall Parking Lot Improvements project and is requesting final payment. The project was substantially complete June 28th, with a contract substantial completion date of August 9th, 2024.
