A RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENT (Unpaid Utility & Miscellaneous Charges)

This resolution will formally adopt the special assessments against the tract of land listed, and it is found that the land benefited by the proposed improvement in the amount of the assessment levied against it. Basically, the State Law allows unpaid utility bills (except electrical charges) and miscellaneous charges (lawn mowing and snow removal) to be assessed against the owner of the parcel of land. The total amount this year is $1,701.95 which is 72 percent lower than the previous 5 year average of $6099. The interest rate on this assessment is four (4) percent, but no interest will be charged if the amount is paid within 30 days from the adoption of the resolution.
