A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PROPOSED 2024 TAX LEVY COLLECTIBLE IN 2025 AND SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING

As per State Law, the City of Luverne will set its proposed 2024 tax levy at this meeting; the levy can be lowered at a later date, but not increased. The City Council reviewed the proposed 2025 budget at the September 17 meeting. The levy has been set at $3,641,592, which includes the General Fund, debt service, and tax abatement. By approving this resolution, the City Council is also setting the Truth in Taxation Hearing for December 10, 2024.
