On Mar. 5th, Knutson Construction received bids for the City of Luverne Childcare Center - Interior Remodel project, with an overall construction budget totaling $7,228,835.00. Knutson received bid coverage on 21 out of our 22 trade package work scopes. Coverage was not received for Trade Package 32B Site Concrete. Subcontractor proposals came in slightly over budget ($175,000) due to BABAA funding requirements, dictating specific equipment selections, however estimating contingencies were carried to offset the overages on bid day, enabling us to maintain our GMP budget. Bids were received electronically and opened in the City of Luverne Chamber Council, with oversight of city staff. If approved, construction is estimated to start in April 2024.
